Ignition’s Sustainability Marketing Business Unit designs, manages and executes cause-marketing and sustainability oriented campaigns and projects for some of the world’s largest corporate, consumer brand and nonprofit clients. In the area of cause-related marketing, ignition works with its clients on highly strategic, authentic and innovative efforts focuses on consumer and/or donor engagement platforms and efforts around social and environmental issues which lead to a high return on investment to the business (brand recognition, reputation, sales, donations etc). In the area of sustainability, ignition is committed to being an industry leader in reducing and managing the impact of its efforts internally and externally with special focus on the event marketing industry. |

ignition seeks a mid-level (5 years of experience) Brand Director of Sustainability Marketing to be responsible for managing highly strategic cause-marketing and sustainability oriented campaigns and projects for corporate, consumer brand and nonprofit clients. The Brand Director will focus particular attention on project and campaign management of branded cause-related marketing programs from event management to subject matter consulting, writing, creative tools, and other services. As a core member of the Sustainability Marketing team, the Brand Director will work in close collaboration with the VP of Sustainability Marketing and Sustainability to ensure business unit profitability. |

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Services, Relationship Building, New Business Harvesting
- Provide all aspects of client cause-marketing project management services from brief through to project completion and measurement
- Responsible for harvesting new business opportunities through consistency of delivery, innovation, commitment and earned client trust
Brand Activation Development, Management and Tools
- Co-develop branded cause-marketing plans and activation concepts
- Responsible for the creation, development and measurement of multi-market activation tools
- Responsible for briefing and managing the development of campaign creative elements including visual identity systems, on and off-line collateral, integrated marketing communication systems – oversee creative production/fabrication
- Coordinate creative vendors, suppliers, consultants, and partners
- Actively participate in all agency brainstorming – providing a sustainability lens to traditional experiential marketing ideation and project activation plans
Sustainability and Cause Marketing Consulting, Planning and Activation
- Provide content expertise, briefings and strategic advice on non-profit management, philanthropy, advocacy, fundraising, sustainability and partnerships.
- Contribute research and insight analysis on issues, organizations and branded experience marketing solutions;
Budgeting and Financial Tracking
· Responsible for project budget development;
· Provide ongoing financial tracking and reporting of project fees and expenses to meet client budgets.
Communications
- Writing, editing, proof-reading: client proposals, strategic briefs, presentations, sales materials, case studies, marketing messaging, original creative writing, team communications, blogs
- Verbally communicating with clients, colleagues, partners and vendors from around the world and all walks of life – tailoring communication to meet individual needs
- Delivering presentations and training modules to audiences of variable seniority and cultural backgrounds
Expertise and Capacity Development
- Actively seek opportunities to build broader agency learning in sustainability marketing and operations – initiating and contributing to informal and formal organizational training
- Help raise agency industry leadership visibility by actively taking opportunities to evangelize cause marketing, particularly to corporate and non-profit communities and help raise profile of agency successes.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Professional experience and passion for cause related marketing and personal sensibility for sustainability and respect for human rights and cultural differences
· Minimum of 5 yrs of working experience: preferred balance of (a) consumer and (b) corporate brand marketing and (c) non-profits
· High-energy team spirit – dedication to team success and commitment to agency excellence is critical.
· Proven large-scale project management skills.
· International/field working experience and proficiency in foreign languages is advantage.
· Digital and social media marketing experience is an advantage.
· Foundational marketing and communications skills and interest in brand management
· Excellent verbal, written, organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
· Eye for good design is a plus.
· Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and work independently
· Strong ability in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
· Bachelor’s degree in related field |
